“Gaiety is an abstract work of art that captures the essence of a blue landscape, where the fields are artistically demarcated. The artist has chosen to play with hues and lights, superimposing the layers with a knife and oil to create a unique composition.
The color palette remains predominantly blue gray and ocher, creating a calm and contemplative atmosphere. The artist used a multitude of layers, giving a real vibration to the canvas and a generous material. Each layer contributes to the whole, creating visual depth and a richness of nuance.
The artist, passionate about exploring the possibilities of oil painting, favored the use of the painting knife. She blended colors into each other without clearly demarcating masses, allowing colors to overlap, interpenetrate and blend to absorb and reflect light in captivating ways.
