In “Ciel Changeant”, Sophie Dumont delicately captures the beauty of a seascape where the sky plays a primordial role. The canvas seems suspended in a moment of transition, between the moment when calm precedes the storm or, on the contrary, when agitation gives way to tranquility. The shades of blue, gray and white blend to create an atmosphere marked by subtlety, where each layer of paint bears witness to the constant movement of the sky and the sea.

The composition highlights an alternation of textures that evoke the softness of clouds and the roughness of waves. The horizon line, blurred and undefined, recalls the natural instability of the elements, giving the impression of a scene in perpetual evolution.
