In , Sophie Dumont captures the chromatic vibration of a cultivated landscape, between abstraction and poetic figuration.
Layers of green, terracotta, ochre, and pink seem to spring from the ground, in lines stretched toward the horizon. The eye is drawn to this vivid perspective, structured by the gesture of the knife and softened by natural light.
The pictorial treatment suggests a countryside in transformation, nourished by light, matter and memory.
Each colored band evokes a field, a trace of passage, a seasonal rhythm. But nothing is fixed: the painting remains open, shot through with silence and movement.
With this work, Sophie Dumont continues her sensitive exploration of interior landscapes, where the earth becomes language, and light, a breath.
