Abstract expressionist countryside landscape in shades of blue and green
Sophie Dumont has been working on the theme of fields for several years. It is inspired by the Norman bocage with the plots of jagged fields that surround it.
The palette remains predominantly blue with always a multitude of layers which gives a real vibration to the canvas and a generous material. She multiplies the layers with different shades until the desired shade is obtained.
the artist essentially uses the painting knife, blending the colors into each other without really delimiting them
masses of colors overlap, interpenetrate and blend to absorb and reflect light. Contrasts occur: color imposes itself and recedes, creating plays of light
This painting is framed with an American box in natural wood but you can request a black box.
