Abstraction of a Normandy landscape with cut-out plots of fields. The artist plays with tints and lights superimposing layers with a knife and oil. She only keeps what seems essential to her in her landscape. The palette remains in a dominant blue and ocher gray with always a multitude of layers which gives a real vibration to the canvas and a generous material. She multiplies the layers with different shades until the desired shade is obtained. the artist essentially uses the knife to paint, melts the colors into each other without really delimiting them; the masses of colors overlap, interpenetrate and merge to absorb and reflect the light. Contrasts occur: the color imposes itself and withdraws, creating plays of light This painting is framed with an American box in natural wood but you can request a black box. Oil on linen canvas.
